A wonderful day

It has been raining for a few days. It was raining cats and dogs~

Today is the Buddha's Birthday. Some wonderful thing happens. The sky is blue and sun is shining.

Is it a magic, or is it just coincident? In Chinese world, we believe Buddha is a god. Today, the weather let us to celebrate Buddha's birthday in a sunny day. Don't say I am superstition. I think it is something supernatural indeed.

Looking forward to

Every year, the most happiest month is July. It is because this is the month of my birthday.

This year, the most happiest months are July plus June. It is because many people are visiting me in HK.

I am looking forward to it...

Interesting...

I am doing something I have not done before at work.

1. I am participating in the process for audit and I will try to make it a learning opportunity, since I have no items need to take care of in this audit. (I was a stakeholder in the audit in the previous working company). I don't have item in this audit because I am no longer working in the service delivery area or IT operation area.
   
2. take meeting minutes - In the past, I only took meeting minutes in the meetings that I chaired. Now, I take meeting minutes in the meeting that I sit in.

Hahaha, I am not complaining. But it can tell how a non-engineer level female lives in the IT industry in HK.

I was a project manager. But there is no project I need to take care of now. It is because there is a PMO set up in the department and they assign the non-PM staff to handle projects. It sounds funny, doesn't it?

二零零七年七月一日是個喜慶的日子，也是個重要的里程碑，標誌着香港特別行政區成立十周年。這一歷史性的日子，對國家整體而言，尤其對香港市民，別具意義和紀念價值。在萬眾期待下，這也是回顧過去的挑戰與成就，和展望未來的光輝與繁榮的好機會。

香港的慶祝日程自四月起至十二月，共四百六十項活動，分別由政府與民間機構主辦，項目多元化，有慶典儀式、文化表演、展覽和研討會等等。我很高興看到，其中不少地區活動都能體現市民對社區的歸屬感，亦讓大眾有充分機會分享慶祝十周年的喜悅。

十周年紀念日當天，既有慶典儀式，也有慶祝活動，包括升旗禮、巡遊和嘉年華會，當然還有盛大的煙花表演，給香港的夜空添上絢麗的色彩。

慶祝活動的中心主題，是確認「一國兩制」的成功落實。回歸祖國十年以來，「一國兩制」已由一個未經實踐的概念，變成活生生的事實。

一如眾望，我們貫徹了港人治港和高度自治，而中央政府亦一直堅守這個承諾。

在《基本法》的保障下，我們的自由與生活方式，我們的司法、社會及經濟制度，依然是我們生活中不可分割的部份。憑着一股「香港定能做到」的精神，香港繼續欣欣向榮。我們在加強與祖國連繫的同時，保持着作為亞洲的國際金融、貿易、物流與旅遊中心的地位。

特區成立十周年是全港歡慶的大事，牽動着每位市民的心。很多人為了籌備各項慶祝活動而盡心盡力，我謹向他們表示感謝。我深信，在社會各界廣泛的支持和鼓勵下，十周年慶祝活動一定會圓滿成功。
