People think I am a lucky gal NOW. Well, I personally disagree it. If you know me well, you know I am not a lucky gal.
But I always have a hope. The hope that make me think tomorrow is always better, this thought motivates me.
I also believe in myself and I know my capability. I always know what I can do and what I can't do. So, if you think I am lucky, you just don't know how hard I worked to make the one I am today.

IMO: lucky quite abstract. If they are referring to a specific event, may be what they saw happening to you would be thought of lucky. I have the same thought, you don't really know how much effort one person has spent in order to complete a task, and contribute to a specific result. Also, it's always a chain effect, you may be lucky today, but probably not forever.
I agree the chain effect.
